ignition fuse size?

Post by bvcllc »

Hey all,

This is embarrassing or maybe I'm getting senile but I can't recall or never knew what size fuse to use on my 1988 4207 Carver instrument and ignition circuitry panel. While checking around I've found all sizes 15amp, 20's, mixed and matched, ceramic and glass. One of my dual helm stations keep blowing them so while tracking that problem I'd like to change them all out, upper and lower.

Thank for any help.

On mine (equipped with 350HP Crusaders), the manual called for a 20A fuse to the "fuel level indicator switch" There was no separate fuse for that switch, it was just fed off the port ignition switch, which was fed from the panel fuse for the port engine. And I've looked at other Crusader wiring diagrams and they usually show a 20A in that spot too.

Thank you. Even went to West and they couldn't answer. Over the years I think owners just popped in whatever fuse they had handy.
