I am looking at a 1995 carver 440 with 3116 cats. What to look out for? What are cruising speeds and fuel consumption?
Pricing? Four of the for sale just around lake Michigan alone. I think found 10 for sale on this side of the Mississippi including 445s.
Any information helps.

Re: Carver 440
We just purchased a 94 440 last summer with the 3116.So far really like the boat.Me and the wife plan on living aboard in 4 years when we retire.Cruises at about 19mph at 2200 rpm tabs down.Seems to be the sweet spot.Handles very easy.I have looked at a few that were over priced and in poor shape.Got lucky with this one.I read a lot about the bad reputation of the 3116 and have come to the conclusion that a lot of it is total BS.If maintained are one of the cleanest and most efficient desiels on the market.Maintenance is everything on a used boat.Good luck.

Re: Carver 440
I'm running Cummins and I'm supposed to achieve 3000rpm and I get 2700. A little heavy as we are looping. Or over propped a bit.
We have a bit of problems with the side windows leaking. I would look out for that.
