42 emblems removal

Post by C42 »

1990 Carver 42 with oval 42 emblems on both sides. I've already removed the Carver 42 emblems from both sides, they were attached with some sort of fixative (?) and popped off. The oval 42s are another matter. They seem the be attached thru-hull some way?? Any one have any experience removing them? Really hate to pull down wall carpet before I know what I'm doing...

Highly doubt (never seen it because of water intrusion) that they are "screwed thru". Willing to bet it is an adhesive like 4200 (semi permanent) that is holding them on. There are a few spray on adhesive removers that will take them off. It will have to run down the back, so combination of spray and scraper.
