Hello. Brand new to this site. Previous owner of Sea Ray (1994 44 Express Bridge) and Cruisers (2004 455 Aft Cabin). Dissappointing experiences with both. Have been out of boating for the last 10 years as a result. Have always loved the look of the Carver Voyager Series and would be be curious about fellow member experiences with either the 570 Voyager (2001-2006) or the 560 Voyager (2005-2009).

Just picked up a new to us 404 CPMY. Spent the first night on it with the kids this weekend and wanted to convert the dinette to the bed, and couldn't figure out how to get the pole removed so that we could drop the table to the rails.

Does anyone know how to do this? I've searched the manuals and internet with no luck - please help!

Any guess as to what transmission would be in a 1981 28' Mariner with twin inboard 305s? I cant make out anything on the tags.

1998 carver 500 CMY with hard top aft deck with MarQuipt crane mounted.

Question: Does anyone have an idea of the weight restriction of the hard top for storing an inflatable boat with motor?

Found a 2009 44 Sojourn that I am looking at purchasing.

I can't seem to find anywhere details on the steering seal for this boat and if it is the older bronze or a newer SS.

In theory the 20009 had the new SS.

This boat was an early 2009 build and has the 2008 D6 370 engines but cannot find any details of if the IPS-C is 2008 or 2009 w/ SS seal.



Any help would be appreciated.

Boat is a fresh water only boat on a large closed lake all its life.

Any suggestions for a coupling alignment? Mine 370 Carver Voyager in on the hard and alignment looks to be off by a lot.

So just finished my first full season with my 396 and decided to redo the sealant around the shower door in the aft cabin as it was... well, awful! As I cut away all the caulk, I began to see why there was so much. Apparently it had a leak and all the wood under the door was about as rotten as politician, as soft as a sponge, well you get the idea.



Has anyone seen this and how did you fix it? from what I can tell, this piece of wood goes all the way around the shower door. Across the bottom ...

Purchased an Eliminator inverter 2000 watts that I plan on mounting in a kitchen cabinet as it is not ignition protected. Question is the inline fuse provided with the inverter ok to mount close to batteries in the engine compartment or is a marine fuse necessary? Any guidance would be appreciated.
