We have recently purchased C 370 Aft Cabin. (1993). The window channels in the salon and the aft stateroom are deteriorated and mossy. Where can I find replacements and what should we know before we attempt to replace them. Thanks.

Hello. Im thinking of buying a Carver 28 Voyager from 1988 and would like to ask you all a few questions

Post Transmission Fluid Pump
- Posted by: crquisto » July 10th, 2018, 1:04 am
- Forum: Gas Engines/Transmissions
I’m pretty sure my port transmission is not pumping fluid as it should. This is a 2000 406 with 7.4 MPIs and Velvet Drive Model 30-01-005 trannies with 2.5:1 ratios. I got a warning tone while cruising at 3200 rpm the other day (about a half second beep every 2 seconds). Retarded the throttles but the warning continued. Oil pressure and engine temp were perfect on both engines. Got it to quit by turning off the port engine, but it came back on as soon as I turned the key back on and waited ...

Post Molding around sliding glass door
- Posted by: Soupy » July 9th, 2018, 4:59 pm
- Forum: General Repairs & Maintenance
My 2005 Carver Super Sport needs replacement molding around the sliding glass door. The existing molding (or is 'trim' the proper word?) appears to be made of rubber or a very flexible vinyl. I have been looking around for a replacement but I'm having no luck.
Does anyone have any ideas on where I might find this?
Thanks!
Jerry

Post 1990 Carver 3607 max capacity
- Posted by: RobGunn » July 9th, 2018, 1:19 pm
- Forum: Carver Yachts Forum - Model Discussion
OK, I have what may be a very stupid question but I have to ask. I have my new to me 1990 Carver 3607 aft cabin that I've owned for one year. My daughter wants to have a bachelorette part on the boat. Question is, what's the legal capacity of my boat? All other (smaller) boats that I have owned had a Max capacity label affixed somewhere on the boat that would give max weight or max number of people.

Hello everyone, Michael here
I have a sea trial and survey this Tuesday on a 1998 405. Contract signed and price agree upon.
Engines are 7.4 MPI Merc 454's I am told. 365 and 367 hours but I am not sure on hp or if they are original to the boat which I hope to learn on the survey. 10E Kohler Generator with 611 hours but it may need repairs I understandand that will be looked at closer in the survey.
Engines on a monthly maintenance contract but guys I dont feel the boat has been used very ...

Post Gas usage math formula?
- Posted by: RickieT » July 8th, 2018, 2:00 pm
- Forum: Gas Engines/Transmissions
Greetings Fellow Carver Owners...
My twin engines are Crusader 350 XL HT's I have been renting my boat out to a captain taking his family out for four hour blocks. Mostly he's been filling the tank back up to where it was before taking the boat out. If he happens to run out of time to put gas back in does anyone have a formula I can use that can ballpark how much he owes me for gas?
I thought of noting engine hours before & after...then using an average RPM of 2500 burning 25 gallons of fue ...

Post towing RIB behind 3607 Carver

http://www.all-about-houseboats.com/hou ... avits.html
Has anyone seen, used, have knowledge of a towing rig as pictured in the attachment; it is from a houseboat forum & they go slow. We usually cruise at 12+kts. RIB is a Novurania 11.5L X 5.5ft.B, weighs 571 lbs. dry total including 197 lb. 25 hp Yamaha. I plan on using the existing typical Weaver Snapdavits on the swim platform as the pivots, hoist it with a winch or block & tackle & secure it with rigid stand off arms ...
