Sorry Viper, I re-read your post and see your reference to Gel.

I don't know how I missed it the first time, Guess I better clean my glasses.....

The Gel option sounds good, but it is probably too much for my present skill set. I think I will look at the other option you suggested, The Kiwi Grip. It looks like it world work for my needs.

Yes

You would either need to colour match the surrounding area or apply a complimenting colour. If you go with gel, you can get a local supplier to come out and scan the colour on your boat for mixing a can for you. You can also contact Spectrum Color out of Florida. If you give them your vessel info, it's likely they have the right colour in stock or can mix it for you.

If you're going the KiwiGrip route, I'm pretty sure they will mix a custom colour for you or you can take the base colour and take it to your local paint store and have them tint it. It's a water based product if I recall.

I said that because I have seen a friend and marina owner here that has been around boats all his life and he is just amazing with gel coat and non skid application. I understand your situation and agree I may also give it a try, but I'd have him mentor me if I did. Some people just have the knack for some things. As I get older I don't have the time and patience for trial and error anymore. Mike
