Hull Crack Question

Post by swodog6289 »

1986 Carver 3607.

Got a place on the stern that looks lighter than the paint around it so I figured it had been a repair job. This weekend I noticed the bottom had a small crack across the bottom.

I'm going to put this repair in "Urgent" column and get someone out quick as I would think any crack you can visibly see should be repaired quick since you probably wouldn't want any water intrusion.

It's pretty high off the water line (at least 2 1/2 feet and at the very bottom of the off color spot which I would imagine is a repair job.

Wanted to confirm with the Carver Gurus on this one that it should be repaired ASAP.

You have cored sides, so, yes, get it fixed correctly or the core will become saturated.
Thanks
