According to the news, they had to give up......got to the top of Hope and ran into a wall. Pretty thick this year.

Hard to believe, saying it will be at least another week before they try it again

I managed to get into my boat last Saturday. I cut a hole into the rear of the shrinkwrap. Climbed aboard and I connected my batteries. Flipped on the switch and both batteries showed 12 volts. Not to bad after sitting all winter. I hooked up to some power and charged the batteries for a short time.

That was all I was able to get done. Hope to get the shrinkwrap off this week and launch shortly. Missed my original April 3rd target date.

Don't worry Rick, still rooting for you to get 'er wet in April. I am guessing April 20th, if the ice is out of your marina. I am a happy boater today, as I did re-install my steps to bridge without hurting myself. You would think that would be easy, but the alignment of the SS tubes has to perfect in 4 spots. Now just bottom paint touch up and cleaning the rubber in the rub rail. Easy peasy. 8-) er

I'm jealous. No power for 51 hours now. Used the snowblower twice yesterday. :censored:

Ouch! AND we have another storm coming through tonight! Should stay west of you...I hope. Remember when you said you liked snow? Maybe want to rescind that idea, and toast the snow Gods with a little Old Knob. Praying for you. 8-) er

Have been looking into a whole house Generac lately.

Have one of those however it decided to crap out on me a week before this outage. Whole house 20kw fully automatic, has worked extremely well over the last several years.

Been juggling breakers, backfeeding with a 3300w portable for the last few days, got heat, the salt water aquarium is safe and the fridge and freezer are up. Power is back as of a few hours. All is good. +5 here also except my lifetime water heater exploded last night, installing a new one right now. Not my best week, that's for sure. :-D
