removing cabinet above sink - 1977 Mariner 33ft
I'm new here and did a search but can't seem to find an answer. We have a 33ft 1977 Mariner we are slowly refurbishing (leaky windows of course). Is the cabinet with the metal support under it that is above the sink a structural support at all? We want to remove it permanently but I am concerned it may be providing structural support to the upper fly bridge. Anyone know? TYIA! Melissa and Scott

Not sure about the cabinet, but curious where you keep your boat. I'm in JBM in SCS.

Wildfire - check this link. Hopefully it opens for you, but if not let me know & I'll try a different one. In the CABIN INTERIOR description, the brochure discloses "ornamental wrought iron column" . I would take that as non-load bearing. My Mariner is a 95, and there is no post or brace there. Good luck!
