RPM Guages flux

Post by urbie »

Both rpm guages on my 1989 34' Santego fluxuate all over the place. Do I need to replace the guages or could there be another problem?

There are usually dials in the back of the gauges which determine thenumber of cylinders that are being monitored. Moving those dials back and forth removes the corrosion on the contactors, which usually resolves this issue. It is a common issue and I have had to do this with the gauges on my '86 32' Convertible.
