Re: 466 MY swim platform
You can crawl inside your swim platform from the aft tall closet by the bathroom door, there is a access panel in that closet that gives full access to the inside of your swim platform, i have a davit system on my 466 which they installed steel backing plates inside the swim platform. not a hard install to do.

Re: 466 MY swim platform
I have a different boat, however, I had two aluminum supports running front to back, in the core of my swim platform between the upper and lower layers of fibre glass. I was not able to see the aluminum stripes from underneath. It is aluminum, so you can drill trough it If you hit it.
I was advised by Carver that they were there and I did drill through one doing my install.

Re: 466 MY swim platform
That's the kind of information that would be GOLDEN to have in the owner's manual or other documentation provided with the vessel!!Tireless wrote:I have a different boat, however, I had two aluminum supports running front to back, in the core of my swim platform between the upper and lower layers of fibre glass. Re: 466 MY swim platform
Eric, Would you please keep us posted on this? We've just recently acquired a 466 also -- and thinking along the same lines.
Thank You!

Re: 466 MY swim platform
There is a metal plate extending from the edge of the platform almost to the deck box
