.
This is interesting. Our shipper required us to make sure the boat was at the correct height.
Now that is interesting......he required you to get the boat to the right height on his trailer.......that I clearly understand , but once that load moves I believe he would be responsible for that load and the height, that is what I meant. Simply, what I am puzzled about is this," what to remove", question comes up a lot. It just seems that boat shippers/movers would have some records of what certain boats require to be removed, and I don't mean the obvious aftermarket add ons as radar etc. Now maybe some of the good ones do have records and are helpful with what to remove.
Consider the original manufacturer shipped these boats brand new all over the world.

I definitely agree with you Bud, I'm surprised too. Especially with any of the "normal" production boats. I would understand on custom or low volume boats that with the number of movers there might not be enough consistency, but with production boats there should be enough volume. There aren't THAT many movers who can handle the large boats - ones that really have clearance concerns.
And I understand the shipper requiring the OWNER to make sure enough stuff is taken off to make the height requirement, but they should be able to tell the owner what needs to be done (props, rudders, arch, etc). I'm sure there's a lot of risk to the shipper in terms of taking a boat apart and re-assembling it, so leave that to the owner to do it or have someone they trust to take care of it.
