A seacock is a valve installed at every through hull water intake below the water line. Typically there would be one at each engine raw water intake, the generator intake, air conditioning water pump intake, raw water washdown intake if applicable, intake for the head if it's a raw water unit, etc. If the vessel is equipped with overboard discharge for black water, then there would be a seacock for that as well. Some OEMs install seacocks on all through hull fittings above the water line as well. I don't recall any Carvers with that though. Mostly sail boats and ocean going vessel designs as a safety feature for rough seas.
