New owner, new experience.

Postby Grizz » July 14th, 2024, 2:45 pm

Hi I am thankful to stumble upon this site as I am a new owner of a 1978 voyager cutter 33.5 ft boat. I am looking for understanding of the following questions.
1. Manual says it has 2 200 gallon stansless steal tanks? Is that 100 x 2 for 200 total capacity or two two hundred tankes for a total of 400 g? How far can I travel an an easy go speed?
2. How many people fit on the boat when checked by coastguard?
3. Are there two piglet houses? How does this work?
Thanks in advance.

Not sure if this is the exact boat, but the PowerBoat Guidebook says it's 200 total:

Your best range would be below hull speed... probably 7kts or so and you might get 1.5 mpg, so ~250 miles max leaving a little fuel in the tank. But that also depends on how clean the bottom is and how well the engines and drivetrain are being maintained.

Not sure what you're talking about with "piglet houses"?

Welcome aboard!
No idea what a piglet house is either. Possibly spell check and the vessel has two helms? If that's what you are asking, you can operate the boat from either station. You don't need to switch over anything, either one works.
Thanks

Welcome to the neighborhood! Can't wait to hear what a piglet house is. Hope a previous owner was not smuggling pigs for any reason! 8-) er
