Hi all,
In the fall when I went to take the boat out I discovered that a Muskrat had gotten in and chewed a nice big hole in my starboard muffler. I've searched online and haven't found any that look like they would be a direct drop in replacement.
Anyone know a source to get a replacement?
Thanks

Geez those critters can do a lot of damage.......Maybe you have.......but before you put it back together, may be a good idea considering to check all your exhaust hoses on the inside back to the engines, the rodent could have been in there on the other side as well. Sometimes they will chew part way and it won't show on the outside till it burns thru while underway or just a small hole and Carbon Monoxide gases leak into the boat. I had to put screens on all our boats.
Could you post a pic then someone may recognize the style you have.

FWIW.....The above is just my opinion.

I know it's a longshot but look for a label with the manufacturer and model number on it. Carver dealt with Centek a lot for exhaust components. Hopefully it's an off the shelf model and not a custom build for Carver...

Thanks guys, here are a couple of pics.
Manufacturer is W. H.Salisbury Co.
Model is M-275
Haven't been able to find the manufacturer online.
Another company of the same name makes electrical safety equipment.

Thanks Viper, I think I found a suitable size replacement by Centek.
Bud37 - Thanks for the advice. I expect I will be destroying the hoses getting the old muffler out, so the plan is to replace both sides with new mufflers and hoses in the spring.

Re: 2807 Riviera muffler replacement
Did you actually talk to Centek? You never know, they may have bought that company and have the original build specs for that muffler or know of it and what their replacement unit for it is. Pay attention to the installation instructions. Some of those have to be reasonably level, some are directional (inlet-outlet), and some have a top that must face up.
