Hi guys
I need to run about 80- 100meters for 10mm chain on my anchor it has about 40m at the moment does anyone know if i can
A, splice a rope to the end of the existing chsin
B, swap chain to a longer chain will the winch be up to the job ?
Its a Maxwell code P11112
Any ideas guys ?

You should be ale to go all chain on the Freedom 800. Has to be the correct chain though; 5/16" G40 if I remember correctly. The 800 can pull a total weight of 364kg of rode and anchor. Yes you can splice rope onto the chain. Use 5/8" 3 strand.

Peter, we have a freedom 800, boat weighs around 18,000 all loaded and it is all chain,believe it is the same size chain Viper said, about 175' when we pulled it out to paint the depths on it.....all good.........
