Vent...exhaust questions...
1997 355.
Pictures attached.
Never realized until now..went to remove the SB side plastic vent cover...supposedly exhaust vent..please confirm...Air blowing through.
Hooked up to shore power. Not running engines or generator...but air is being pushed through...blower?
Wondering...is it a sensor that turns the blower on if the engine compartment gets..too hot? When I turned the main switch (DC Main) panel to the off position...the blower stops.
We can hear...something in the engine compartment running...but again...turned the DC Main switch off...stops. Nothing on the panel indicates this blower.
Or...is this just...naturally...Air blowing through? But then..DC Main switch off...no air..

Re: Vent...exhaust questions...
My 404 has a similar exhaust vent. Its to vent the forward head, look for a switch there.

Re: Vent...exhaust questions...
Yep! Thank you. Hired a tech...came out...he was stumped. Finally turned off each breaker and got it sorted.
While he was here....aft Bilge pump replaced. Still didn't work...he replaced the switch...still didn't work. At the helm...turn the aft Bilge on....works. At the actual pump in the aft cabin...lift the Bilge pump switch...doesn't come on...tech says....not sure...going to have to diagnose and could take hours...tech left for an emergency repair...

Re: Vent...exhaust questions...
There should be a separate breaker (perhaps located near you main DC power switches) that supplies power to the float switch and then to the bilge pump. This circuit would bypass the main DC power switch so the bilge pump gets power from a battery regardless if the main switch is on or off.benica wrote:QR_BBPOST Yep! Thank you. Re: Vent...exhaust questions...
Aren't the breakers for the bilge pumps under the cabin step with the battery selector switch, charge breakers, etc.?

Re: Vent...exhaust questions...
You are correct!!
Looked and looked again at the breaker...aft pump switch was tripped.
Thank you! Thank you!
