Post Cabin side port hole window screens wtb

Wanted -

My 3867 Santego came with only one port hole screen - presumably there were others once upon a time, all of which I assume met the same fate as mine: hot evening, awoke from sleep, bleary eyed and possibly a bit drunk, decide to open a port hole for some refreshing breeze. But wait! What about the Jesus big dock spiders? I know what - I'll just use this screen thing that should fit in here just like... splash. Bloop bloop bloop. *$#/?@!!!

And then there were none.

So the opening ...

Post Santego 3867 OEM Panel Gauges

Earlier this year I reworked my dash panels and installed new gauges. Well, I had been holding on to the original OEM gauges, but the Admiral has said, "they must go, throw them away, give them away, or sell them...she didn't care, but just get rid of them as she was tired of seeing them". Of course my response was, "Yes Dear!" :worthy:

So my loss is your gain. They are free to whomever wants them for the cost of shipping ( I hate throwing away something still serviceable). :-D They are ...

Post Raymarine and Garmin MFD's

I have two multifunction Displays that I am selling for a couple of friends that recently upgraded their electronics.

The first one is a Raymarine C80 Classic. It comes with the Navionics CF card, sun cover, power cable, document binder and manuals.

The second one is a Garmin GPSMaps 5280 which also comes with chart card, software update card, sun cover, power cable, and documentation.

Both units were flush mounted, so we don't have the optional trunnion mounts. Both unit were working and in good ...

Post Raymarine Software Update

Looking to update the software on my C120 Classic MFD. Followed the instructions from the Raymarine website. Downloaded the update and transferred to the compact flash (128 MB).

The download produced v5 folder. Contained within this folder were 2 items: AUTORUN.DOB and C_App_Prod516.pkg (this is what I copied to the compact flash drive)

I removed the Navionics card and inserted the update into the MFD and turned the unit on and nothing happened. Did I miss something in the instructions? Raymarine ...

Post 2003 Carver 396 Fuel Capacity

Hello Folks,

After a month and a half of dry-storage for a full bottom job, some fiberglass repair, wax, buff, etc got the boat on the water. This Boat is new to me, and fuel tanks were empty/filled with watery gas when I got it, so I had them pumped. Fresh 20 ga each tank I took off for fuel station and starboard engine died after about 1.5 miles. I figured either gas evaporated or tanks are too big for 20 ga (4 of 5-Gal red pales each). Another possibility is that guy pouring in gas miscounted ...

Post Compressor not producing cold air

My AC unit in the aft cabin (3 knob control) cycles when the fan is turned on. When I switch on the compressor, it too cycles however it does not produce cold air. The water pump is circulating and water is flowing out the outport. Either the refrigerant is low or the compressor is not functioning properly. If it's a matter of replacing the compressor, where can I find a new or used one? The unit is a Marine Air VR6K-H. Or is the last option to replace the entire unit with a new model more cost ...

Post Genset transfer switch

On my 2001, 356, I have an automatic genset/shore power transfer switch that I'm pretty sure is located behind my 120v breaker panel. My boat will not power up electrically using shore power, but will running the genset. I'm almost certain the transfer switch is stuck in the genset position and will not switch over. In the morning I'm going to open up the panel to see if I can find the problem.

Could this be as simple as hitting it with a shot of WD-40 or is it more complicated? I've never op ...

Post 396/444, what are you running for House Batteries

Hi,

I'm looking to replace the house batteries in our newly purchased 2002 396. Has anyone installed Golf-Cart batteries in the stock location? If so do you know what series of batteries that fit. I'd measure but the boat is currently 800 miles away and waiting to be transported to Southern Ca.

I would also like to know what series the stock batteries are if anyone has info.

Any help is appreciated
