Post Require New Yanmar Engines

Hi

I have a Carver 360 in Singapore, currently with 2 x Yanmar 6LPA-STP, the engine might need to be replaced, probably to a Yanmar 6LPAM-STP2.

Wondering is any of you have a reasonable source of supply for these engines ?

Thanks

Post Interior Carpet

Ok, I think my 350 Mariner is in need of some new carpet inside. I’m thinking of simply doing some good stain master carpet and be done. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Any big reason I should spend the big bucks on marine carpet?

Post Best boat for Florida

I just bought a condo in Fort Myers Beach that came with a boat dock and 7500lb lift. I want to buy a boat that I can use for day cruising the intercoastal, boating to restaurants for dinner, and getting back into the hobby of fishing. Don't care about going out into the gulf very far. Also don't care about going fast. The most enjoyable time on my Carver 32 aft cabin on Lake Erie is the no wake 2 mile cruise on the Grand River to get to the lake. Don't need the cabin comforts of the 32 because ...

Post 396 ES TV amplifier/power supply

I am replacing the TV antenna on our 2004 396ES and I am wondering if anyone knows where Carver located the amplifier/power supply on this model? It should be a straight forward search and discovery mission but if someone would like to share, I'd appreciate it.

Post Yellowed Panel on 390 CPMY

Greetings! One of the things I need to do this year is to repair a panel. The upper Sundeck on my 1994 390 CPMY has plexiglass or acrylic around the bottom half of the deck, and the canvas enclosure snaps to it. The panel on the port side has yellowed, so much it is not pretty. Has anyone ever painted an acrylic panel before? I was thinking of sanding it with perhaps 22 grit and then getting a white enamel and use a fine foam roller to paint the panel. Another option is to take it off and have a ...

Post Shipwright 30 Charger?

Slip neighbor has a Shipwright 30 battery charger and loves it! I can't find any info for this model. Anyone familiar with this unit? He is suggesting I install the same model, and assures me it does have smart charger technology. The charger features a meter in lieu of phase lights. I am perplexed I can not find anything on the net for this product! 8-) er

Post Glendinning Engine Synchronizer

On my 1991 Carver 430 cockpit MY the surveyor noted a line item for the engine synchronizer. I have never used it, but while tracking down a blow fuse in the engine compartment I was directly under the control unit for the synchronizer and discovered that the previous owner had disconnected the linages to the throttle cables. I plan to check the system out while in dry dock, but I wonder if I shouldn't just remove it all together. There is a gauge on the helm that seems to give a visual indicati ...

Post What Is This Thing!

:banghead: Ok, hi to all! I have a 1991 Carver 430 cockpit motor yacht. It is my intent to crawl through and into every space that I can to better know what is what and how to properly maintain it. I discovered a cap on the starboard aft under the exhaust outlet. I unscrewed the cap and there is this bolt/screw that I have no idea what it is or what it does. Nothing in the manuals, drawing or on the Carver website. :-( Any help greatly appreciated.
Tom
