Have you considered a enhance Michigan drivers license? It allows travel to Canada. My wife has one and it works great.

My drivers license renewed this year and I did apply for an enhanced drivers license.

Qr Bbpost Nexus is not a substitute for a passport, you still need a valid passport to travel. On top of that, you can only use Nexus at larger crossings as the smaller ones are not set up for this. FYI, Nexus is only accepted between Canada and the US. Any other place in the world you want to go, you might as well show them a baseball card as it has no validity except for maybe a form of photo ID.

Canada is the only foreign country I travel to. The NEXUS card will make travelling between the two countries much easier.

I have my interview appointment for my NEXUS card on August 14th at 11:45 AM. We'll see how it goes from there.

Good luck with the interview but as stated earlier, everyone on the boat should have one or else the other rules apply. Crossing by car between MI and ON or NY and ON is easier but again, everyone in the car has to have a NEXUS card.

I realize that everyone on board has to have the card. Since I boat alone 99% of the time the card will work fine for me. If the admiral wants to get the card she can do so. I am getting it mainly for my boating use.

Interviewed this past Monday for my NEXUS card. They said it should arrive in the mail within the next 2 weeks. It will certainly make boating to and from Canada much easier.

My NEXUS card arrived in the mail on Saturday past. I also obtained an enhanced drivers license from the State Of Michigan.
