Post Navigation Lights?

Did Carver deliver the 41CMY with non conforming nav lights?

From everything I have read I am supposed to have the standard red and green on port and starboard however it's the white light I am confused about as the only one is a steaming light (masthead) up above the radar arch pointing towards the rear. Not going to change anything however it seems I am missing a forward facing white light. I guess I could switch on the anchor light for forward white visibility?

Looks like I have lights for a s ...

Post Slow to drain sink and shower.

(New owner)Carver 506 Aft Cabin sink is draining slow. I have removed the drain to inspect for hair buildup and found none. In my land home I would next remove the P trap and clean it. I found the grey water tank along side the steering linkage. What should I be checking and cleaning to correct this. FYI. Aft Shower drains perfectly.

V-Berth shower drains slowly. Not sure how to address this. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Post Vacuflush Preventative Maintenance

So what is the norm for preventative maintenance on Vacuflush systems? Had to do my forward head yesterday only to find out the bellows was split.

I watched a few videos from however they only recommend changing the duck bills every 3-4 years and every year on a live aboard. Sounds a little to preventative if you ask me.

I am thinking 5 years for the duck bills and 7 for the bellows? Your thoughts?

My original bellows lasted 16 years just for reference. Going to do the rear bellows and duck bills ...

Post Replaced exhaust risers

Replaced my 6 year old risers on the 454’s. Truly still in good shape. Had some corrosion on the throat of one of the manifolds. However, riser edges are SHARP! First riser I did this. Made it through the next 3, but it was hurting like you know what. Thank the high heavens for paper towels and electrical tape!

Post Vacu Flush switch

Hi all!!!!!!!! I have a 360 Sports Sedan and heard that some people have a "silent" switch ( basically an on and off switch) for the head power. If you do, where would it be installed. I would like to install one so that when we are not on the boat, we don't have to go to the engine compartment to turn off the power. Thanks in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Post Seat replacements

Hi all,

Just took the Carver Montego 25 out of the barn and discovered that a family of raccoons loved the vinyl seating and panels. Needless to say everything has to go. I've been searching for replacement seats and panels, but can't seem to find any specific Carver ones and am not sure what replacement ones will fit. Any suggestions?

Post Coldest Launch Yet

The boat was launched on Tuesday however the locks were closed to pleasure craft until this morning so we just tied her up at the storage marina and came back yesterday evening to to sleep on the boat and head out early this morning. Oh my, 1C this morning, engines registered 4C. Unusually cold for this time of year and yet tomorrow it will be 25C. Nice to be back in the water, trip up went without a hitch on glass smooth waters. We are presently tied to or home port dock. Bring on summer. :cap ...
