Post 2003 Carver 444 cabin ceiling light lens replacement

The small plastic tabs used to snap the lens cap onto the light base have broken on several of my cabin ceiling lights. This lens cap is not listed on my Carver replacement parts list and I have not had any luck finding just the lens cap on the internet. All the sites just sell the whole light fixture. The lens cap is 2 1/2 inches in diameter with a translucent lens and a silver beasal. Does anyone know where you can buy these caps?

Post Help Please!

Hows it going. New member hear and in complete panic mode. I'm in ohio and I bought a 76 santa cruz 28 ft. I've been around boats on lake cumberland my whole life but never a twin engine? When I bought the boat I asked to gear the engines run. He started one for me. The started went out on the second. Needless to say I now need to winterize it. Had freezing Temps already but kept a heater in the engine bay. I don't know how to get the damn thing running to get it to operating Temps. Its turning ...

Post 2000 Carver Voyager 450 Electrical Drawing DC Alternators

Hello -

I have a 2000 Carver 450 with twin 6CTA.

Have digital volt meters install on all batteries. The system is simple and appears to be stock with the exception that the previous owner did upgrade to a Magnum Invertor. The other components like the isolators, fuses and battery switches appear to be the original. House and Engine Starters are old school 8D's

Under shore power:

Original Charles Charger charges 2 starter batteries and 1 Genset starter

House is charged by Invertor

While underway, I d ...

Post Master suite hatch on C40

Okay probably a stupid question, but for the life of me I cannot find any information on how to open the hatch in the Master suite on 2019 C40. There is a retractable screen preventing access to the levers to open the hatch. One direction of "retraction" is a screen, the other is a shade. This seems to be a contiguous scrolling feature with no means that I can tell to open it to get access to the hatch opening levers. There is no mention of this in the owner's manual.

Thanks.

Post Vibration on left prop Carver 455 aft cabin

Hi,

I am a new owner of a 1997 Carver 455 aft cabin. During the survey, we noticed the left prop nut was loose and was tightened onsite by a the marine shop. The owner of the marine shop said they were the ones that completed some work on the boat recently and sent the props out and tightened the nuts at that time so they were surprised to see it loose. The boat did not have a vibration on water during the survey. A short time later, we noticed a vibration on the left side and I’m assuming I ...

Post 570 caught fire and burned at the turn around basin in Petaluma Saturday Morning . So Sad

Does anyone know who lost their 570 to fire in Petaluma on Saturday morning? It made the Bay area news. Luckily no other boats were on the guest dock at the time and the two people on board escaped the flames. Sad to see such a pretty boat be gutted like that.
