Hello new to this forum just thought I would share my experience this last summer of putting a new port side engine in my Carver 3607. We had only owned her for 2 weeks until water got into the cylinder from a rusted hole in the exhaust manifold and hydro locked the motor. I bought a long block from Promar engine and of course new exhaust manifolds, risers, and elbows for both engines. The process went very smooth, I built a custom hoist to get into the cabin and lift and roll the motor out of the hole. Also built a 3/4 plywood floor with bracing underneath to hold the wait of the big block and transmission. I bought a jegs racing engine cart to bolt the motor onto and wheeled it up the ramp to the aft deck then had it taken out from there.
